Solar Opposite is in a way a parallel version of Rick and Morty, it’s because they (Rick and Morty) show the level of advancements they’ve made and the interesting human life, while Solar Opposite shows how dumb, weak and annoying they can be. And for its sake, you should know that Solar Opposite is created by the co-creator of Rick and Morty. It’s an American sitcom and has quite a large fanbase even though only one season has come so far. Solar Opposites centres around a family of aliens from a better world who must take refuge in middle America. And their time of stay is filled with the debate of whether this is awful or awesome.

About the series and Casts

Korvo (played by Justin Rolland) is an intelligent alien scientist who hates Earth and wants to leave as soon as possible. He despises us (humans) for being so stupid.
Terry (by Thomas Middleditch) is Korvo’s optimistic and naive partner who enjoys being on Earth. He loves how humans cope with situations and seek help from each other to solve problems.

Solar Opposite Season 2

Yumyulack (by Sean Giambrone) is a replicant of Korvo. He’s a self-proclaimed scientist, and he even shrinks the people he doesn’t like.
Mary Mack as Jesse. Terry’s replicant is kind and goes well with humankind, and she even wants to fit into human society.

Solar Opposite Season 2

Dates

The first season aired on the 8th of May 2020, got loads of love from fans and critics. The series was originally ordered as two seasons consisting of 8 episodes each, so we’re going to have a second season soon enough. And according to executive producer Josh Bycel, much of season 2 has indeed already been written. The bad news is… say it with me: coronavirus.

The Plot

And as for the plot, it was a two-season show, so the second season will probably be inter-related with the first and will show more events that will influence their decision of staying or leaving.
