What Resident Alien is about?
Resident Alien, based on a comic book series of the same name, tells the story of an alien life form who crash lands on earth and poses as a harmless human doctor. After he finds the parts of his ship and attempts to return to his own planet, he finds out that humans are more dangerous than he thought.
An alien, stranded on Earth, hides in plain sight using the name Harry Vanderspeigel. The show follows Harry’s adventures as he searches for pieces of his lost ship, discovers kindness and the humanity of the human species, all while planning revenge on his archnemesis, a young boy named Max (Judah Prehn) who can see through his human cloaking device.

In episode one, we meet Dr. Harry Vanderspiegle as he is delivering a speech to members of the town’s Chamber of Commerce. When all of his friends and associates from space show up to kill him for destroying a planet, he is forced to crash land on earth and take on a new identity as a missing person named Harold Smith so that he may begin to search for his missing ship parts.
In the premiere season, Harry has arrived on Earth and is living as Dr. Harry Vanderspiegle, a doctor with a practice in New England. However with parts of his spaceship missing he struggles to remain under the radar as he searches for the pieces to his missing vessel with help from his neighbors Edgar and Emma with whom he is developing a keen interest.
