Joker Release Date in India Brought Forward to October 2

Joker, an anti-hero movie and a spin-off from the Batman series just got booted up to a new release date, October 2. The original Warner Bros, DC movie has already made waves even before the film has been released worldwide and the trailers released so far do support the view that Joaquin Phoenix has outdone himself, again. As the Joker, his performance (seen from the trailers), is just superlative – he somehow manages to embody the emptiness of Joker’s inner character, his descent into madness and the evil that comes bursting forth.

One of the reasons that Warner Bros has moved up the release date could well have to do with the fact that it is a national holiday and Mahatma Gandhi’s birthday. Given this, it is only expected that more people would head for the movies during the national holiday. This is nothing but a strategic move on Warner Bros’s part to target key demographics during a national holiday – not that Mahatma Gandhi and the Joker had anything in common. Other movies have also upped their release dates with the Tiger shroff thriller War and other films as well.

Todd Philips directs the movie and if the trailers are anything to go by – the rest of the film is bound to be outstanding. It currently stars Joaquin Phoenix as the Joker, who turns to crime in the early 1980s along with Robert De Niro, Frances Conroy and others as well. With the plot being kept strictly under wraps, we can only guess as to how the movie will play out. The Joker was indeed a joker by profession which he later capitalizes on during his crime spree. This is one movie that you may not want to miss out.
